R U Worried offers help and support to the Children of Marton Primary School, for help on Bullying and other issues that affect Children and young people. This page is a great place to find information and support.

What is bullying?
Bullying is persistent unwelcome behaviour, mostly using unwarranted or invalid criticism, nit-picking, fault-finding, also exclusion, isolation, being singled out and treated differently, being shouted at, humiliated, having verbal and written insults, and much more.

Why do people bully?
It is thought that people bully....

a) to avoid facing up to their inadequacy (meaning they use bullying to hide their own weaknesses);
b) to avoid accepting responsibility for their behaviour and the effect it has on others, and,
c) to reduce their fear of other people seing their weaknesses
d) to divert attention away from their inadequacy.

What to do if you think your being bullied...
Speak to your class teacher, tell them the way your are feeling. What you are feeling may not be bullying, maybe you have just fallen out with another boy or girl in your class and it may be easy to resolve.
