 As the sun shone across Blackpool, the scene was set for Marton Primary Schools annual sports day. The whole school has been in preparation for this one day event where the children pitch their sporting talents against one another. This year it was very close, but Blue House were the overall winners. Thank you to all parents and grandparents for supporting the school and all the children on this fabulous day! |

Stunt Cyclist 'Flying' Visit |

 As part of National Bike week, the school had visitors from the “Scotland Cycle Stunt Team” who gave a breath-taking demonstration of bicycle acrobatics. The spectacle was enjoyed by the whole school as part of a wider initiative to promote Eco friendly travel and healthier forms of commuting to school. |

Nursery Admissions 2009-10 |

 As a number of our Nursery children are due to start Reception in September, we will be able to take on new admissions for September 2009 – April 2010. If you are interested in a place, or know of anyone who is, please contact Mrs. Atherton via the School Office, on 01253 838556 for an application form.
Please note that children must be three years old or become three between September 2009 and April 2010 to qualify for the 15 hour Nursery Grant. |

Bookings are now being taken for Marton’s Summer Holiday Group. This facility is available for the first five weeks of the summer holidays beginning Monday, 20th July. Full day sessions: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. £16 per day / £15 for siblings
Morning sessions: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. £10 per session / £9 for siblings
Afternoon sessions: 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. £10 per session / £9 for siblings Children are required to bring a packed lunch if they attend the full day session. If you are interested in using this facility, please call at the school office to collect a booking form and return it to school by Friday, 3rd July at the latest. Confirmation letters will be sent out that day. As this is a very popular facility you are advised to book early if you would like to reserve a place. (Please note that Holiday Group reserve the right to cancel this facility
if it is not financially viable.) |
