OFSTED: Marton Is Officially A Good School! |

Over the past few days school sent home copies of our recent inspection. I am really pleased that the team has recognised the significant progress and improvements made since the last inspection and supported the direction that the school is taking.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a very big thank you all for all your on-going support and encouragement. Your many positive comments about the quality of care, support and standards at Marton are really appreciated.
I would also like to say thank you to the staff and Governors for all their hard work. We have a fabulous team at Marton, who genuinely put the needs of the children first, and I am absolutely delighted that this has been recognised.
Finally, I would like to say a very big thank you to all the children. I am really pleased that their good manners, behaviour and positive approach to learning continues to be a key strength of our school. They really are a credit to Marton and I feel so very proud of them all. |

Advance Notice - Dinner Money Rise |
We have just received notification that after the Easter Holidays, due to increased production costs, school dinner money will rise to £1.90 per day (£9.50 per week).
If your child is changing from school dinners to packed lunch or vice versa please inform the school office. We need 2 weeks notice as the kitchen needs to order food in advance. |

We are collecting the Cash for Schools ‘banknote tokens’ printed every day in the Gazette from this Thursday, 18th March until Saturday 24th April. The bank notes will vary from £5 to £100 so look out for the big value token days.
At the end of the promotion the schools with the highest monetary value in banknote tokens (determined in accordance with the number of children at the school to give everyone an equal chance) will receive a cash prize! Fingers crossed, Marton will be one of the top collectors! |
Each child has been given a special World Book day token worth £1 which can be used to purchase books throughout March at all the major booksellers, including WH Smith and Waterstones. We hope you will encourage your child to use the token and that they get enjoyment from reading the book of their choice.
